Tuckahoe’s Property Committee
Tuckahoe’s Property Committee cares for the campus so that it remains safe, welcoming, and holy—a place where faith, fellowship, and service flourish.
Our Mission
We steward our physical spaces—church, classrooms, fellowship hall, and more—with the same love and intentionality we give to spiritual life. Whether it’s upgrading lighting, adjusting spaces for new ministries, or hosting clean-up days, this team enables vibrant faith formation in place.
Key Projects & Priorities
- Enhancing Safety & Efficiency: Installing motion-sensor lighting in darker areas reduces energy costs and improves security. Maintenance work also includes HVAC (boiler and air handler) repairs to maintain comfort and sustainability.
- Improving Accessibility & Use: We’re evaluating campus access and flow to better serve all ages and abilities—ensuring a welcoming environment for worship, fellowship, and learning.
- Utilizing and Sharing Our Space:Being good stewards of our property allows us to share its gifts with the community. We ensure that our rooms and grounds are ready for both current ministry needs and hosting community groups. This includes improved classroom configurations, technology upgrades, and ample storage space for ministries.
- Campus Cleanup Days: Twice a year, we rally as a church to spruce up outdoor spaces—planting, painting, trimming, cleaning—all geared toward beautifying our shared sacred space.
