An Invitation To Join A Lenten Study

As we prepare for the season of Lent, which begins on March 2, Ash Wednesday, we are being led, and challenged, by the sermon series delivered by Carson Rhyne.  “Talking the Talk” is focusing on four foundational beliefs of our faith.  During Lent, bolstered by these reminders of what we say we believe, the congregation is invited to study and discuss together significant ways we can incorporate those beliefs into our daily lives and relationships — “Walking the Walk!”.  A Lenten Study, using a resource by Marjorie J. Thompson, the book Forgiveness, will offer both in-person and Zoom opportunities for these conversations.

1) Discovery Class will meet at church in Room 106 on the 6 Sundays in Lent beginning with March 6th.  The class meets at 9:00am with a hybrid option.  Contact Walter Smith for more information, and to register so we can order enough book: hs62c71@gmail.com

2) A Zoom Group will meet those same 6 weeks from 4-5pm Sunday afternoon.  Contact Ginger Spence to register to receive the zoom link, and reserve a book: mosesbulrushes@gmail.com

3) Self-select small groups are also welcome to organize their own meeting times.  These groups could be from within Care-Share groups, neighbors, or established affinity groups such as choir, Women’s or Men’s Bible Study, Committees, etc. Contact Ginger Spence for registration in these groups: mosesbulrushes@gmail.com

Pre-registration will enable us to order enough books for all participants.  Registration in advance will enable Christian Formation to be good stewards of our resources.
