For updates\, sign up for our weekly e-newsletter (link to sign up on the website). \nFor many\, the phrase “going to church” is synonymous with the act of attending a worship service. Being the church\, however\, means much more than assembling weekly in the sanctuary for the purpose of singing songs\, praying\, and hearing a sermon. Worship is at the heart of what we do when we come together as God’s people\, but worship\, moreover\, tells us who we are and equips us with the encouragement we need to live the other days of the week in response to the call of Jesus. \nOur prayer for people who attend worship at Tuckahoe is that they will experience the presence of God\, but also that they will leave knowing that they are welcome here just as they are. \nFor members\, click here to sign up as a liturgist.

DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us for Earth Care Sunday on April 19 at 10:30am as we celebrate God’s creation and renew our commitment to faithful stewardship of the earth. As a certified PCUSA Earth Care Congregation\, we gather to give thanks for the beauty of the earth God has entrusted to us and to reflect on our calling to care for it with justice\, compassion\, and hope. The Reverend Colleen Earp\, one of our parish associates\, will be preaching. Fellowship after worship will take place outside on our plaza\, weather permitting.

DESCRIPTION:YOUTH MINISTRIES\n\nInterested in joining in our Youth Group activities?  Please fill out this electronic registration form!\nThe purpose of our Tuckahoe Youth Groups are to create lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ through fostering intentional relationships\, providing opportunities for thoughtful study\, making space for passionate worship and orienting lives toward participation in God’s mission to the world. We also like to have fun. \nActivities in Youth Group \n\nBible study\nWorship Leadership\nOutreach events\nService projects\nRetreats\nMission trips\nChurch immersion opportunities\n\nWe encourage Middle and High School students in their growth toward a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.  In addition to our regular weekly meetings\, we have also cared for others through service projects including leaf raking\, preparing meals for CARITAS and Liberation Services\, and partnering with our Outreach Committee to engage in mission work. \n  \n  \n  \nWe meet on the third Sunday of the month. \nIf you’re interested in joining us\, email Jillian to get connected.

SUMMARY:Deacon's Meeting
DESCRIPTION:BOARD OF DEACONS\nThe Board of Deacons for the church is comprised of Deacons who are elected to serve for two-year terms\, with a maximum of six consecutive years. \nDeacon: Ministry of Compassion and Service*\nThe ministry of a deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of compassion\, witness\, and service\, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor\, the hungry\, the sick\, the lost\, the friendless\, the oppressed\, those burdened by unjust policies or structures\, or anyone in distress. Persons of spiritual character\, honest repute\, exemplary lives\, brotherly and sisterly love\, sincere compassion\, and sound judgment should be chosen for this ministry. \nCare/Share Groups:\nDeacons are each assigned a group of members as their Care/Share group. The deacons stay in touch with these families\, passing along news and reaching out to them to check in\, particularly when those members are ill or bereaved or have other needs.   The church family binds together in times of joy and sorrow.
