Liturgy of the Longest Night

December 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Blue Christmas: A Liturgy of the Longest Night

Advent asks us to wait in the dark for a light that has not yet come. Grief, loneliness, illness, and hard years don’t pause for the holidays; they often grow sharper against the season’s cheer.

Scripture doesn’t ask us to perform joy we don’t feel. The Psalms are full of lament, and Mary’s own song begins in vulnerability before it turns to hope. This service, held on the longest night of the year (winter solstice), honors that honest waiting rather than rushing past it.

Join us for a 45-minute contemplative service with quiet music, a meditation from Pastor Keli, and an opportunity to light a candle — naming what you carry and holding it up toward hope. Come as you are.

Childcare will be provided.
