CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond To Assure Shelter) seeks to provide effective, permanent solutions to individuals and families dealing with the crisis of homelessness and/or addiction in the Metro Richmond area. Tuckahoe is hosting CARITAS families and children the week of October 7 – October 14. Volunteers from the congregation will cook and serve dinner each night, prepare bagged lunches, and serve as overnight hosts during the week. Others will do laundry for our guests during the week and escort them to shower facilities.
