Adult Classes

Forum Class

We meet in the Parlor at 9:30.  If you’re looking for a change or you’ve never attended adult Sunday school, give us a try.  Different members of the class lead discussion using Faithlink—a weekly topical study of current events and issues.

The New Covenant Class

We are a long-standing group who participate in Bible study, the Uniform Lesson Series, with a lesson each week in Room 106 at 9:30.  We have a number of teachers who lead our class, and we begin with a hymn and devotion.  Come join a class where you will feel free to express your thoughts and where you are encouraged to participate in the study of God’s word.

The Discovery Class

We are a class of people who are curious about different ways of thinking about Christian faith.  We choose different books to explore the Christian faith, and the class is led by members who volunteer on a Sunday-by-Sunday basis.  We enjoy open discussion where class members push each other to question and think through what we believe and why.  We meet at 9:45 in room 108.

The Seekers Class

This class studies topics that relate religion to today's world.  We use a Presbyterian web-based curriculum called The Thoughtful Christian which supports the ideal that Bible study should be timely.  Single and multi week study topics stimulate our thoughts about Christian values and how they relate to today's world.  Bible passages and topics encourage class members to share their thoughts and beliefs while wrestling with questions that inform the way we live out our faith in everyday life.  Lead by Fred Rose, this class lends itself to Sunday School teachers and others who are otherwise occupied on Sunday mornings and may not be able to attend on a regular basis.  Class participants range from college students to parents with college age children and beyond.  All are welcome.  We meet in the conference room adjacent to the office.
