Dr. Fred Rose - Head of Staff Pastor Fred joined our staff in April, 1998. He served the Shelby Church in western North Carolina for fourteen years; he began his ministry in 1979 with the Cameronian Church of Rockingham, NC. He grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His Presbyterian roots led him to Davidson College and eventually Princeton Seminary for study. In 1994, he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Columbia Seminary in Decatur, GA focusing on preaching and spiritual guidance. He is married to Georgia Smith Rose, a teacher at J.R. Tucker High School in Henrico County. They have three children, William, Jr., Charlotte; Anna, Washington, DC and Caroline, Greensboro. When Fred is not serving his church, he is sometimes on a golf course or more likely with his family. “I came to Tuckahoe attracted by this unique congregation’s desire to grow and their commitment to reaching out to the surrounding community. Hidden by a thriving neighborhood, Tuckahoe has been a ‘best kept secret’ of congregations in our area for years. I continue to be excited about being part of Tuckahoe’s ministry in Richmond and beyond.” |

Mark Cain - Director of Music Ministry Mark came to Tuckahoe in October, 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. One of his joys is to have seen his Bell Choir "TUCKADINGS" start from Day # 1 and develop into a vibrant, exciting group of musicians playing premier music. The singing of the Chancel Choir is a much anticipated moment in each Sunday's service among Tuckahoeans. Psalm 100:2 "Serve the Lord with Gladness: Come before His presence with SINGING ! "
